What Do You Want?

imageI asked myself today –

What do I want?

The pictures in this post are of a card that a kindergarten student I was teaching for the day gave to me.

I had spent four hours with her. And without my even knowing, she felt love in her precious, still-innocent heart and shared that love with me via this card.

That is one of the things I want!

Here are some others (in no particular order):

  • To travel
  • To learn
  • To feel good about myself
  • To feel valued
  • To be closer to God and make sure my daughter is too
  • Stability
  • To get paid for my talents
  • To be able to provide for my daughter
  • To give her the skills, understanding & support she needs to navigate life and its challenges
  • Peace
  • To have financial freedom
  • To get paid to travel & speak
  • To be recognized
  • To live a meaningful life
  • Love

Then I asked myself –

What is important to you?

Here’s what I came up with:

  • To do the best job I can possibly do – no matter what the job
  • To live honestly
  • To be responsible
  • To be happy & have peace
  • My daughter, Audrey
  • Respect
  • Integrity
  • To do work that matters
  • To be able to handle obstacles and challenges with grace, skill and positivity

What do you want?

What is important to you?

Think about this right now and each and every day. Let it guide you, your thoughts & your actions.

Share your wants and what’s important with you in your comments. I would love to hear it!

Be well!
